Everyone wants to print on camo because let’s be honest, camo is cool as fuck. But I see a lot of issues that come up from people who may be new to it or don’t have a lot of print experience yet. The major issue that always comes up…dye migration.

Screen printing can be a dirty business, and the dirtiest part of the job is easily reclaiming screens if you have a smaller shop. Theres ink, tape and emulsion flying all over the damn place, and you never finish in dry clothes. But there is something much worse than all of this…the stuff going down your drain.

Overprints! I’ve been wanting to try this for so damn long, I’ve seriously lost sleep over this idea for months.

We had the beginners in mind with this so that they could have a solid tool to practice with. A single colour version to work on the fundamentals, and a two colour version to work on things like registration, using an underbase, etc.

Adobe Illustrator is an amazing and super versatile tool for us as printers and designers. It can also be terrifying and really fucking hard to get a grasp of as a beginner.

The option of shipping a pile of frames somewhere is a huge pain in the ass and it’s also expensive. It’s just easier to buy new complete screens and toss those old frames. Well those days are over.

I’ve printed tons of multi-coloured stuff, lots of it more complicated and technical than this, but there’s something about printing a really nice piece of artwork that you connect with that makes it so much more enjoyable.

The amount of ruined artwork and piss poor jobs done in the print world because of image trace is insane to me, when it’s really not too difficult to properly vectorize a lot of it.

The UV exposure unit is a very integral part of the screen printing process. Without it, we wouldn’t be able to turn all of these super cool designs into screens and then into shirts.

This tonal screen printing effect is one of my favourites for a lot of reasons. It’s simple to do, looks amazing and has a barely there feel once it’s laid down on basically any shirt.
