Interview by @desirae201

You know those friends who are always doing way too much cool shit and you're all like "yeah, I've known them forever"...Lee is one of those, one who I've actually known for over 15 years.

Former motocross and snowcross racer,  freestyle motocross rider, sportbike and harley stunt rider and freestyle snowmobile world champion - Lee is not what you would picture for a multi-hyphenate over achiever, but he is in any discipline he goes after. More recently taking on the business world with his companies Thirty Eight Ride co. and Rogue Lab.

Lee sat down with me...ha, let's be honest. Actually I emailed him while he sat on the toilet to answer a few questions.

Where are you from?

Winnipeg MB, Canada

What are you well known for?

Mostly for my funny wit and having an ass like a baby pumpkin. I guess also for being a former freestyle snowmobile champion and more recently, the business and youtube thing.

How'd you get into it?

I've been riding since I was 4 or 5, my family has always been into motorsports. I've raced motocross and snowcross, and done FMX and FSX pretty much my entire life. Sportbike and harley stunt riding just kind of fell into my lap over the years as a new challenge to take on and keep riding fresh.

The business stuff on the other hand was a natural evolution of my competitive nature and a way to stay involved in motorsports for the long run. I started with my clothing brand and then ended up starting the print shop as a necessity to produce my own products at the level that I wanted them to be.

“I honestly do this stuff because I love it and enjoy pushing my own limits. I’m a very competitive person and I’m always trying to beat what I did yesterday, thats my main motivation and has been with everything I’ve ever done.”

Other interests?

Working on bikes is a big thing to me, I spend more time in my garage than most people do in their houses, but that time seems to be taken up by the businesses more and more these days. Adulting super hard. I've also gotten really into videography and photography since starting my youtube channel however many years ago. Everything about it excites me from the gear to the creative process, and I’m always pushing to get better at it.  I also like tacos.

Future goals?

Well I definitely have a lot of those! I guess the most important one would be to take my brand to the next level and start stepping into the ring with some of the bigger players, so I can start giving back to the sport more and do my part. And then there are still a few riding specific goals I have left to tackle, which kind of a long list. But one thing I’d definitely like to do is ride a snowmobile again so I can ride with my sponsored riders and see if I can still hang after all this time.

Why do you do what you do, what motivates you?

I honestly do this stuff because I love it and enjoy pushing my own limits. I’m a very competitive person and I’m always trying to beat what I did yesterday, thats my main motivation and has been with everything I’ve ever done.

What would be impossible for you to give up?

Motorcycles of any kind! I don’t get to spend as much time with them as I used to these days, but they’re still what I think about most. Hopefully one day soon I can take a month long bike trip and not talk to any other humans, just ride and be in the moment.

What do you want to be remembered for?

Hopefully people will remember me as a cool, humble dude who usually had something ridiculous to say, and would occasionally do gnarly stuff to unsuccessfully pick up chicks.

Anything else?

Thanks to my family, friends, and fans for supporting whatever it is that I do, without them I wouldn’t be able to do what I do every day. And if you haven’t yet, check out my brand Thirty Eight Ride Co. We make some pretty cool shit!
