You know those friends who are always doing way too much cool shit and you're all like "yeah, I've known them forever"...Lee is one of those, one who I've actually known for over 15 years.
Former motocross and snowcross racer, freestyle motocross rider, sportbike stunt rider and freestyle snowmobile world champion - Lee is not what you would picture for a multi-hyphenate over achiever, but he is in any discipline he goes after. More recently exploding onto the harley stunt scene with videos like Stoke or Broke and Frozen Fury.
Lee sat down with me...ha, let's be honest. Actually I emailed him while he sat on the toilet to answer a few questions.
Where are you from?
Winnipeg MB, Canada...the neighbourhood of transcompton.
What are you well known for?
Mostly for my funny wit and having an ass like a baby pumpkin. I guess also for being a former freestyle snowmobile world champion and more recently, the harley stunt and youtube thing.
How'd you get into it?
I've been riding since I was 4 or 5, my family has always been into motorsports. I've raced motocross and snowcross, and done FMX and FSX pretty much my entire life. I got into the harley scene to try something new and kind of rediscover my love for riding again. I saw some videos on the interwebs, built up a bike and it was game on from there.
"I'd love to say the babes and big money, but we all know neither of those things are a reality in what I do. I honestly just do this stuff because I love it and enjoy pushing my own limits, seeing whats possible for me as a rider and where I can take it after that"
Working on bikes is a big thing to me, I spend more time in my garage than most people do in their houses. I've also taken a shine to videography and photography since starting my youtube channel. I'm still pretty amateur, but I'll get where I want to be eventually. I also like tacos.
Well I definitely have a lot of those, number one would be growing my content to the point that I can start riding every discipline again, so I can make some killer stuff for people to watch. I have a few specific to the harley thing too, like being the first to do a few things that people don't believe are possible.
Why do you do what you do, what motivates you?
I'd love to say the babes and big money, but we all know neither of those things are a reality in what I do. I honestly just do this stuff because I love it and enjoy pushing my own limits, seeing whats possible for me as a rider and where I can take it after that.
What would be impossible for you to give up?
Motorcycles of any kind! If I was given a choice between a crusty old bike that I could ride every day or 10 million dollars, a night with Victoria Beckham and I wouldn't be able to ride again...I'd jump on that thing and roost her in the face as I wheelied off into the sunset. (Sorry Vicky, I still love you).
What do you want to be remembered for?
Hopefully people will remember me as a cool dude who usually had something ridiculous to say, and would occasionally do gnarly stuff to unsuccessfully pick up chicks.
Thanks to my family, friends, sponsors and fans for supporting whatever it is that I do, thats what keeps me going. Did I mention I like tacos already? (Taco making hot babes can send applications to any of my various social media accounts).
